The British pet retailer has undergone an identity change to adapt to new trends.
The UK’s leading pet retailer, Pets at Home, recently announced the rebranding of its pet care branch under the new identity of Pets. The revamp includes a facelift of its veterinary and grooming services.
The veterinary business changes from Vets4Pets to Vets for Pets, while the grooming service will be known as Pets Grooming.
The move aims to cement the brand’s identity as the one-stop destination for all pet care needs.
The rebranding will roll out in over 450 stores and 350 grooming salons owned by Pets at Home nationwide.
Pet care consumer behavior
A fresh campaign called ‘We’re all for pets’ sits as the central premise of the rebranding.
Pets at Home recently surveyed 2,060 pet owners across the UK, identifying consumer behavior patterns in pet care.
More than 7 out of 10 respondents acknowledged they would do anything for their pets, and 80% admitted attending to their pet’s needs before their own.
Two-fifths said they were more likely to cut down on things for themselves to ensure the same quality of life for their pets.
Up to 37% admitted celebrating their pets’ birthdays, and 48% reported buying special gifts. During the festive season, Pets at Home revealed that over 20,000 dogs were booked at its grooming salons.
