A new concept of snacks, the same certified quality

Italian artisan brand DoggyeBag is scaling up production while raising the bar on innovation.
Just five years after the inauguration of its new production site – marking a key milestone in DoggyeBag’s industrial transformation – the company has continued its growth trajectory.
In 2025, the warehouse was expanded by an additional 2,000sqm, while in 2026 a further production expansion of more than 1,000sqm is planned, alongside the construction of a new office building.
Scaling up
This strategic enhancement of production and logistics capacity is driven by the steady increase in demand for DoggyeBag’s products, both in Italy and internationally. The company’s ability to respond to market needs is evolving through the expansion of its product portfolio and the continuous introduction of new, unique and innovative treats for dogs.
In a market where speed, flexibility and logistical reliability have become key differentiating factors in supplier selection, upgraded logistics will ensure an increasingly high level of service, significantly reducing lead times from order intake to fulfillment.
Certified quality
DoggyeBag was the first company in Italy to create seasonal and artisanal pastry products for dogs, and it remains the benchmark in this segment in terms of quality and innovation. It is also the only company able to guarantee that 100% of its production takes place within its own pastry laboratory, certified according to the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.
This certification – achieved only by leading food companies and still rare in the dog snack sector – ensures that DoggyeBag products meet the highest standards of food safety across the entire production and supply chain.
This approach also allows the company to maintain full control over every stage of the process, from ingredient sourcing to production, ensuring that its customers can rely on safe, high-quality products for their pets.
Innovation in snacking
This commitment continuously drives DoggyeBag to innovate and stand out in the market by introducing products that constantly raise the bar. The company already has several exciting developments in the pipeline, both in terms of products and packaging, which will be unveiled at Interzoo in Nuremberg.
The product offering includes seasonal products – which account for approximately 40% of total sales – as well as gourmet biscuits and snacks, semi-moist treats, functional snacks, the ‘Canpleanno’ (handmade and decorated birthday cakes for dogs) and a wide range of artisanal pastry items.
Products such as ‘Dogolatier’, the non-chocolate as good as chocolate for dogs, require significant investment in R&D and elevate the consumer experience beyond impulse purchasing.
Dogolatier represents a true innovation compared to existing carob-based alternatives in the pet food market. Thanks to two patented processes – fermentation and roasting of carob pulp – the final product achieves a taste remarkably similar to chocolate, allowing pet parents to safely share one of life’s great pleasures with their dogs.
Looking ahead
To support growing international demand and further strengthen the brand’s global expansion, the company has launched a significant investment plan, both in terms of technology and human capital. The challenge DoggyeBag is currently addressing – already with encouraging results – is to successfully combine innovation with operational flexibility, leveraging a highly motivated and growth-oriented team.
For 2026, the company is targeting double-digit growth in international revenue, supported by very positive trends already recorded in the first months of the year.
Over the next three years, DoggyeBag aims to further strengthen its growth path by combining increased production capacity, continuous product innovation, portfolio expansion and a stronger market presence. The R&D department is already working on the development of unique and innovative products designed to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of pet owners, with a particular focus on natural ingredients, canine wellbeing and nutritional value.
In this perspective, while remaining true to the brand’s core values, future development will move toward a new concept of snacking – offering true ‘product-service’ solutions.
