H&H targets high-single-digit growth for pet portfolio in 2026

The group’s pet business was supported by accelerated growth in high-margin pet supplements in North America in H1 2026.

H&H Group’s Pet Nutrition and Care (PNC) segment posted RMB 1.1 billion ($153M/€131M) in revenue for the first half of the year. This is a 1% year-over-year (YoY) increase.

The segment accounted for 12.5% of the company’s total revenue, down from 15.4% during the same period in 2025.

On a like-for-like (LFL) basis, revenue grew 4.8%, supported by accelerated growth in high-margin pet supplements, which offset an expected sales decline of 37.7% in mainland China as part of the company’s proactive shift toward supply localization.

North America accounted for the majority of PNC revenue at 86.1%, followed by mainland China at 11.7%. The remaining 2.2% came from other markets, including Asia and Europe.

North American growth

Sales of supplement brand Zesty Paws in the region grew 16.7% on an LFL basis from January to June 2026.

This performance was driven by success across the Amazon and Chewy e-commerce channels, alongside broad distribution through Walmart, PetSmart, Petco, Tractor Supply, Target, Pet Supplies Plus and Menards.

According to H&H’s Chairman Luo Fei, Zesty Paws remains one of the best-known pet supplement brands in the United States.

Meanwhile, sales of pet food brand Solid Gold returned to growth, increasing 6.3% on an LFL basis mainly due to the expansion of its e-commerce presence. As of 30 June, Zesty Paws and Solid Gold were present in more than 23,000 and 4,000 stores, respectively, across the United States.

China performance

In mainland China, the company focused on driving growth in Solid Gold’s high-margin pet food and supplements, which contributed 46.5% of total PNC revenue in the market during H1.

“We continued to expand our PNC footprint across Europe, Asia and ANZ, with our growing global reach amplifying our core strengths in premium nutrition and enabling us to capture rising demand in expansion markets,” the Chairman says.

Company-wide results

Overall, the Hong Kong-based company recorded a 23.9% increase in revenue to RMB 8.7 billion ($1.2B/€1B), primarily driven by growth across all business segments, including Adult Nutrition and Care (ANC), Baby Nutrition and Care (BNC) and Pet Nutrition and Care (PNC).

Notably, revenue from high-margin nutritional supplements across all 3 of its business segments grew 13.3% year-over-year on a LFL basis, contributing 60.2% of the group’s total revenue during the period.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 53.3% to RMB 1.6 billion ($221M/€190M), while net profit surged 760% to RMB 610.6 million ($85.5M/€73.3M).

Guidance

For the full year 2026, the company expects overall net sales growth in the mid-to-high teens, while its EBITDA margin is expected to remain broadly stable.

For the PNC segment, Jason Wang, H&H’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, said the segment’s top-line growth is expected to reach the high single digits. Within the segment, Zesty Paws is expected to record growth in the high teens for the full year.

For Solid Gold, the company expects sales to remain broadly flat or decline slightly, reflecting the continued recovery and transformation of its overall product portfolio.

In addition, PNC’s EBITDA margin is expected to be around the mid-single digits.
