HUNTER produces mouth and nose masks in its own manufactory

In the course of the Covid 19 pandemic, Managing Director Nadine Trautwein was personally concerned to take quick action to protect her own employees as well as the civilian population.

To this end, production was partially switched to the manufacture of the mouth and nose masks at the end of March – around 2,000 pieces can currently be produced per day (approx. 12,000 per week), with capacities being further expanded week by week.

In order to be able to ensure optimum delivery capacity during the Corona crisis, the manufacture was switched to a model with two teams and two shifts, so that the teams do not meet personally and production can continue without interruption even if an employee falls ill.

On some days, the manufactured mouth and nose masks are not even put into storage, as the population’s demand for mouth and nose masks is known to be high. The masks produced in Bielefeld are available in various materials.

This relieves the demand for disposable masks, which should be reserved for medical staff, and last but not least protects valuable jobs at the Bielefeld-based family company’s site, which was just relocated in 2016.

Nadine Trautwein emphasizes: »Wearing a mouth and nose mask can help to reduce the risk of infecting others and becoming infected yourself.

Our masks are particularly soft and comfortable to wear, can be machine washed at 60 or 90 degrees and fit adults, teenagers and children alike thanks to the special lamella shape and the bands that can be individually adjusted behind the head«.
