Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association appoints new chair

Purina’s Claire Robinson-Davies will implement the sustainability commitments of the association in the next two years.

Robinson-Davies, current Nestlé Purina Corporate Communications Director for the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Nordics, served for a long time as a representative on the PFMA Executive Committee and Chair of the Sustainability Committee.

“As a responsible industry, environmental sustainability continues to be high on the PFMA’s agenda. We also know pet owners want to feed their pets in a way that respects and protects the environment for future generations,” she said.

The organization is also working closely with governments and other organizations to ensure they address common challenges, including sustainable raw materials, environmentally friendly production, and recyclable packaging materials.

The manufacturer’s association is currently working on a project looking at the sustainability of key pet food ingredients. “We look forward to sharing the results later this summer. I am excited and honoured to take up this role and to help shape the way forward for our industry.”
