Trupanion’s revenue hits $905 million in 2022
In the fourth quarter of 2022, the pet insurance company posted $246 million in sales, up 27% compared to the same period in 2021.
The Seattle-based company’s revenue grew 29% to $905.2 million (€848.5 million) in 2022. Its subscription business reached $596.6 million (€560 million), up 21% from 2021.
1,537,573 pets received insurance from Trupanion during the year, while the number of pets enrolled in subscriptions reached 869,862 by the end of the year, a 24% increase over 2021.
Trupanion generated average monthly revenue per pet of $63.82 (€59.82) in 2022, compared to $63.56 (€59.58) in the prior year.
Darryl Rawlings, founder and CEO of Trupanion, said 2022 was another year of “consistent revenue growth,” with the company building “a solid foundation.”
He added that long-term growth initiatives and plans would result in a “doubling” of the company’s market presence.
“With the work we have done over the past 24 months and the opportunities ahead of us, 2023 will be an exciting year.”
