New C-level appointments at The Honest Kitchen
Steve Calderone takes on the chief operations officer mantle, while Mike Albano is named chief financial officer.
The California-based human-grade pet food company has hired 2 new executives to help enhance its growth trajectory.
Steve Calderone joined the company as COO to oversee operations of all areas, including manufacturing, demand planning, and supply chain management.
The company plans to continue optimizing its fulfillment network and sourcing to support further growth under Calderone’s guidance.
Among other food companies, his recent experience includes a stint of almost 8 years with Perfect Snacks, a fitness and nutrition protein snacks company, where he served as the SVP of operations for 4 years.
Calderone said he is eager “to bring innovation and increased efficiency” to The Honest Kitchen’s operations.
Process-oriented leadership
Mike Albano, meanwhile, will oversee all financial, business intelligence, and human resources operations as the new CFO.
Albano brings a wealth of financial experience from the pet industry with firms such as Simply Protein for Pets, Solid Gold Pet, and Instinct. He recently served as the CFO of TNT Crust, a pizza company.
Bob Rubin, The Honest Kitchen’s Executive Chairman, and interim CEO, said he is “excited” to have Albano and Calderone joining the team.
