UK pet tech startup raises six-figure investment

Perro plans to launch a wellbeing app for dogs and pet parents later in the year.

The company believes that, after the investment backed by angel investors, it is “well placed” to continue developing its next-generation wearable product and data capabilities ahead of the commercial launch.

“It is a highly exciting time for the team and the company. We have surrounded ourselves with a highly experienced and knowledgeable investor group, and are delighted to receive their backing to take the company forward and to make a positive impact in the wider pet care market,” expressed Perro co-founder Adam Cassidy.

Alongside the investment round, the company has been accepted into the Glasgow-based Smart Things Accelerator Centre (STAC).

Established in 2021, Perro claims to be the first platform developed specifically to strengthen the animal-human bond, by promoting greater dog wellbeing, as well as the improved physical and mental health of pet parents.
