Zoetis increases sales volume amid “strong” 2022 forecast

The revenue of the animal health company in the US market increased by 9% in the last months of 2021 and aims to target emerging markets in Asia and Latin America this year.

Zoetis reported earnings of $2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2021, a 9% more than in the same period of 2020. The net income for the period reached $414 million (+15%).

The company posted $7.8 billion in revenue in 2021, 16% more than in 2020. Net income for the full year 2021 was $2.0 billion, an increase of 24%.

“Looking forward, we believe this momentum sets us up for a strong 2022. We expect to continue growing revenue faster than the market in the coming year, driven by continued strength in pet care,” said CEO Kristin Peck.

Peck also forecasted a “significant growth” in livestock and companion animal product sales in emerging markets, including China and Brazil.

The New Jersey-based company is guiding to full-year operational growth of 9% to 11% in revenue.
